Rebellion Dinner
As part of a course in participatory speculative design, I worked with a group to design a dinner party experience taking place in an “alternate reality.” Built around the concept of rebellion and dystopia, my team and I created a world in which food is government controlled and stripped of it’s uniqueness, where rebels organize secret parties to share contraband food with each other. This research gave me great insights into the power of childish playfulness in co-creation and the role of humour in guiding designers to deep participant beliefs.
Skills I personally gained from this project include:
Speculative Design
3D Modeling (Fusion 360 & Bambu Studio P1S) & Prototype finishing
Design Reseach
Co-Design
Storytelling
Worldbuilding
Event Planning
